This custom Home REnovation improved the layout and livability for our clients
Our clients purchased a home in the heart of Paradise Valley. After living in it a few years, they decided it was time to not just update the home’s finishes, but also improve the layout and livability. By removing some walls and adding features like a large multi-sliding door and a large covered patio, AFT Construction was able to open up the floor plan and create true indoor/outdoor living.
Outdoor Patio
One of the benefits with living in The Valley is the amount of sunshine and great weather we get each year, which means outdoor living is a must. AFT Construction added an approximately 500 square foot outdoor covered patio complete with outdoor kitchen. The shade structure features adjustable beams to control the amount of sunlight from complete shade to lots of light.
New FIreplace
AFT Construction installed a new fireplace wall in the family room featuring an electric fireplace, TV framed above the fireplace, and integrated shelving. This new addition is now one of the focal points of the home.
Opening UP
The original floor plan was an older style layout where each room was defined by walls. AFT Construction created a much more open feel by removing the wall between the family and living rooms and removed a portion of the wall between the kitchen and dining room, to have not only have line of sight, but also created countertop seating. Additionally, AFT Construction installed new doors leading to the outdoor patio including a new multi-slider to add an abundance of a natural light and open the home up for indoor/outdoor living.
